Musical Instruments

Last year, I got a chance to visit a museum and it’s a whole world of amazing idols, historic objects and an entire level dedicated to just musical instruments.

Goddess Saraswati with Veena

Goddess Saraswati is Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, art, speech, wisdom, and learning. The musical instrument called Veena respresents creative arts and science and her holding it symbolizes expressing knowledge that creates harmony.

Taus Instrument

Taus is a form of veena used in North India with a peacock-shaped resonator.

Tambora or Tanpura is a string instrument originating in India and is found in various forms of Indian Music.

Before mobiles and smartphones, we millenials, used this small portable mini instrument to listen to radio during bus rides and travels. Just plugin headphones and we are good to go.
