Tree Love

Of all the city roads that I have been to in Pune, I feel Jangli Maharaj Road (JM Road) is the best of all. This road has greenery on both sides. With tall, spreading branches, these trees fully cover the road from both sides in such a way that there is shade throughout the road.

Recently while passing through JM road I managed to click few pictures of the shade and greenery on both sides of the road.

JM Road trees

There is a feeling of coolness all around while passing through this road and obviously credit goes to these trees. I do not know how old these trees are but as far as I can remember, these trees have always been here. These trees are so tall that it’s difficult to fit into a single frame. Special care of these trees were taken when this road was getting remodelled under Smart City initiative.

These trees add beauty to one of the most vibrant street in the city.

  1. Jangli Maharaj Road? Ha ha! I find that name funny but the trees are so so gorgeous. It’s a canopy and so pretty. Thanks for sharing, Ramya. The temperature do dip in areas that are covered with trees. So you are right it must be cooler there 🙂 Thanks for joining and I will see you around later in the day.

    1. The trees do look regal. The road is named after Sadguru Jangli Maharaj, whose temple is located on this road. Thanks Esha and the tree that you shared is just majestic!! I have been to Banglore a couple of times, but I have not visited Lal Bagh. Definitely on the list now for the next visit. 🙂
