Pashan Lake is a man made lake situated near Pashan suburbs which is approximately 12km from Pune City. This lake was built to accommodate the needs of people living in nearby suburbs.
In recent years, due to urbanisation and silting of lake, the water quality has degraded and is unfit for consumption.
This lake and its nearby areas attract lot of migratory birds and so this is a spot for bird watchers.
Pune Municipal Corporation has constructed footpath alongside the lake called Nature Trails and also has done bamboo plantation to attract birds.
In all, this is a quiet good place to enjoy nature and is also a spot for bird photography.

Unspoilt nature. that is the idea one gets from the trail amidst the trees!

The trails gives a nice feeling!! Efforts are carried out to clean the lake as well… Hope in next few years, the lake will be a tourist spot!!
