Here is my entry for Travel with Intent – Fire. I am going with the literal translation of the theme – Fire.
In India, a day before Holi, i.e Hindu festival of colors, Holika Dahan is celebrated with bonfire. The story of Holika Dahan signifies the triumph of good or power of devotion over evil.

Diwali, one of the important Hindu festival, is festival of lights and every house is decorated with lights and diyas(lamps). Diwali signifies victory of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. People draw rangolis and decorate it with diyas. Diwali means rows of lighted lamps. Colorful lamps and fireworks are the common observance of Diwali.

Last year, I had gone for night camping and trek to Vasota, Satara in Maharashtra with my office colleagues. We made a small campfire and were chatting, narrating horror stories all night.

Thanks for visiting!!
There is immense heat in your bonfires, and I loved the delicacy of your diya images
