On the Edge

Standing on the edge, she wondered whether she should end her life and the life of the unborn with it.

It has been days since she had left her husband’s home for she remembered the day, when the report said the child being a girl, but the family wanted a son and the harassment that followed.

Standing on the edge, the sun’s rays warmed her up, making her comfortable like a blanket enveloping her entire body, giving her hope; caressing her belly, she murmured, “You will live, little one because you will bring the change”.
