Sophie looked around her room for the last time.
She sighed and left the room, carefully pulling the door shut. It was her hostel room where she had spent her memorable 4 years of her life studying engineering. And now the corporate world was waiting for her.
She took her suitcase and stepped into a taxi heading for the ferry terminal. On boarding the ferry, she looked back at the town. Feeling nostalgic, she remembered her first day in the town and her college. She remembered being extremely excited about seeing her hostel room. The room which will be her home for the next 4 years.
The memory of sitting on the last bench, dozing off to sleep and playing games like tic-tac-toe with friends during lectures made her smile. She almost laughed remembering nocturnal adventures she had with her friends.
She came back from flashback as the ferry’s horn blew. Stepping out of the ferry, she looked back and whispered goodbye to everything.
A new life, a new chapter awaits.
