Rangoli is an fabulous art of hand drawing, originating in India in which patterns are created on the floor in living rooms or courtyards. It’s a famous art of colors and a way to express imagination. It is a form of sand painting which uses white powder and colors.

Rangoli designs can be simple geometric shapes, deity impressions, or flower and petal shapes (appropriate for the given celebrations), but they can also be very elaborate designs crafted by numerous people. So basically it is an experiment with designs and colors.
During festivities and weddings,Rangoli is drawn to welcome guests. It’s a sign to show warm hospitality. In particular, the Diwali festival is widely celebrated with rangoli, most people visit each other’s homes to exchange greetings and sweets during this time.
